The UDV-TA2 is a 2-port compact DVI USB “Cable KVM Switch” with 2 sets of built-in USB KVM & Audio/Mic combo cables and a wired flipper button for easy connection to your two computers. It allows you to access, control, boot and reboot two DVI and USB-enabled multimedia computers with only one USB keyboard, mouse, DVI display and a speaker set and microphone. For easy and fast switching between two computers, you can use either keyboard hotkeys, the flipper button or the Switching Software Client installed on your PCs!
Flipper button for instant switching operation
The flipper button can be conveniently placed near your hand on the desktop. Whenever you need to switch computer channel, you can press it lightly for instant switching to the other computer. It is the most easy and fastest way to switch. The flipper button comes optionally either with a soft-magnet bottom to be readily attached to any metal surface, or with a Velcro sticker to be applied to any spot you like. Beside the flipper button, you can also use the keyboard hotkeys and software switching utility.
Switching Software Support for PC and Mac
The UDV-TA2 comes with both Windows and Mac version of the Switching Software utility program that can be installed on the connected computers to facilitate easy “software” switching. The Switching Software can show you the current active PC, and allows you to select PC as well as configure keyboard hotkeys. It appears as an icon on the system tray of your Window desktop, and will change its number icon upon switching to show the active computer port. With this software utility, it will give KVM users utmost convenience and control.
USB 2.0 hub ports compliant for USB keyboard, mouse and high-speed device sharing
The USB 2.0 interface offers multi-platform support for PC and Macintosh. The two USB 2.0 keyboard and mouse ports are actually transparent USB hub ports that feature a full driver support for advanced keyboard/mouse functionalities. In addition to the usual connections of a set of USB keyboard and mouse, the two USB 2.0 keyboard & mouse ports can also be connected to high-speed USB devices such as USB disk storage or webcam, etc.
DVI interface technology to ensure digitally crisp and clean imaging
The DVI interface technology is tailored to modern digital Flat Panel Display. It implements genuinely digital signal transmission over the cable to reduce undesired distortion from conventional analog/digital conversion. This DVI USB KVM Switch supports digital video (1920 x 1200) for your maximum convenience in adapting to your display requirements.
Audio and Microphone Switching offers uninterrupted multimedia experience
The audio and microphone switching function of UDV-TA2 allows you to leverage the multimedia systems on each of your two computers. You can monitor the audio/mic input/output of each computer without plugging on and off the audio/mic cables. User can also choose to use either independent/simultaneous switching of both PC channel and audio/microphone channel for their maximum convenience. And it takes only one set of speaker and microphone instead of one set for each computer. Furthermore, it offers you a user-programmable simultaneous/independent switching option between PC and audio/mic channel switching.
